This interactive workshop uses the "Wise Crowds" method to help leaders in IPE and collaborative practice address real-world challenges through peer-driven problem-solving. Participants will share leadership dilemmas, receive actionable feedback, and collaboratively generate solutions. Leaders across settings will engage, network, and gain practical strategies to advance their efforts.

This workshop will introduce strategies for using the Flexible Learning Model (FLM) to increase sustainability of interprofessional programs. Examples from interprofessional simulations will enable participants to brainstorm ways they can apply the FLM’s five dimensions of flexibility to develop a plan for improving sustainability within their own programs.

Finding a balance between standardization and individualization is critical to meeting the unique needs of both patients and trainees. Central to this approach is the involvement of patients, families, trainees, and other interprofessional team members as co-creators in the design, delivery, and evaluation of training interventions. This mini-workshop session will illustrate and provide interactive opportunities for attendees to identify methods for engaging diverse participants in the co-creation process during clinical research projects.

BOOST is an interprofessional team coaching program that transforms healthcare team dynamics through collaborative development, training, and assessment. This interactive workshop introduces participants to evidence-based approaches for enhancing interprofessional practice and provides practical tools and strategies for implementing effective team coaching and supporting development of trusting relationships across professional boundaries.

All IPE programs should have a thorough knowledge of the recent AIHC publication of a national survey on the organizational structure and resources of IPE in the United States This workshop will guide attendees through using the publication to compare their program structures and resources with national standards. The 6 qualitative IPE themes reflected in the AIHC publication are reviewed along with examples from how one institution used the roadmap to evaluate its institutional structures and funding sources. The workshop will introduce attendees to how their IPE programs might consider doing similar comparative work at their own institution.

Health systems science (HSS) is the study of how health care is delivered. “Teaming,” a domain of HSS, recognizes the need for interprofessional teamwork. This workshop provides participants with knowledge about HSS and how to integrate its concepts into interprofessional education to support health professions learners’ to become “systems citizens.”

This workshop explores the use of the think-aloud method in interprofessional education (IPE) simulations to enhance clinical decision-making and team collaboration. Participants will review research, engage in an active simulation exercise, and discuss best practices for integrating think-aloud into IPE scenarios, with a focus on improving health outcomes.

This session will review the development of the updated IPEC Core Competencies, highlight key changes, and demonstrate their alignment with select accreditation standards. Real examples of implementation will be shared, and participants will engage in activities and discussions to explore practical strategies for integrating the competencies into their local programs.

This workshop uses the moral commons framework along with application of a Dialogic Engagement Model as a structure for interprofessional team clinical reasoning analysis of current complex ethical dilemmas. Group discussion will include identification of key strategies to support teamwork, such as relational coordination, and opportunities for future research.

Digital health, including AI, wearables, electronic health records, and telehealth, has revolutionized healthcare. Interprofessional, digital health literacy is needed for cohesive, patient-centered care. This interactive session equips educators to integrate digital health literacy into interprofessional education programming and will culminate in the development of action plans for curricular enhancements.
