Cheryl is the Associate Director of Clinical Education and Associate Professor for the School of Physical Therapy at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She’s presented at national and international IPE conferences and has published IPE peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She currently serves as the Communications Committee Chair for the APTA’s Academy of Education’s Interprofessional Practice and Education Special Interest Group and was an appointed member to ACAPT’s IPE-CP Task Force in 2024. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice in Physical Therapy. She is a founding leader of MCPHS’s Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education (CIPE) and a co-chair of the MCHS Worcester/Manchester IPE Working Group.

Preparing faculty and clinicians to teach IPE/CP is vital for successful initiatives. This scoping review highlights variability in IPE faculty development methods and assessments, emphasizing the need for standardized tools. It explores current practices and recommends steps to enhance IPE faculty training in health professions’ education programs
This IPE/IPC event aimed to raise falls awareness among underserved older adults, enhance student collaboration, and strengthen university-community ties. Twenty-five senior center participants attended a falls prevention presentation by healthcare students, followed by lunch. Feedback showed high satisfaction and increased knowledge, highlighting the value of IPE/IPC in public health.
