What's included in registration?

Registration for CAB IX includes 2.5 days of main conference programming (May 28-30, 2025), with daily breakfast and break, as well as one lunch.  Also included in the registration is an opening reception (May 27, 2025) with heavy appetizers and cash bar.  

Hotel reservations are made separately, and may be made at the conference website.

Early and regular registrations may be made by credit card payments or invoices. Between May 16 and May 22, late registration is allowed plus a $50 administrative fee by invoice only. No additional registrations will be accepted after May 22, 2025.

Please note that the Student, Emeriti Faculty, and Patient Partner rates are already discounted as much as possible and so are therefore not eligible for Early discounts. These rates will remain the same from February 17 - May 16, 2025. Registrants using these rates between May 16 and May 22 will incur the standard $50 late registration administrative fee.

 

Savings for AIHC Members

Members of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative will save $25 USD on their CAB IX registration. Current AIHC members can find a promo code for $25 off of their Regular Registration when logged in to the Member Area of the AIHC website. If using a discount code, please be sure to select "Regular Registration (Professional)" or "Regular Registration (Student)" and enter the discount code when prompted on the payment page.

Additionally, the following membership renewal combos are available while registering for CAB IX. Annual membership for AIHC runs from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

  • AIHC Professional Membership Combo: American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) members receive $25 off of their CAB IX registration. For your convenience, you may purchase or renew your AIHC membership while registering for CAB IX by selecting this option, which bundles the cost of AIHC membership ($175) and CAB IX registration, and includes the $25 member registration discount.  
  • AIHC Student Membership Combo: American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC) Student members receive $25 off of their CAB IX registration. For your convenience, you may purchase or renew your AIHC Student membership while registering for CAB IX by selecting this option, which bundles the cost of AIHC membership ($30) and CAB IX registration, and includes the $25 member registration discount.

About the UNMC and Creighton University Interprofessional Centers 

UNMC Dr. Edwin G. & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center

The Dr. Edwin G. & Dorothy Balbach Davis Global Center is a highly advanced clinical simulation facility purposefully designed to foster the practice of patient care in highly-functioning and effective interprofessional teams. The 192,000 sq.ft. center is made up of five distinct levels that work together to create a safe and innovative learning environment.

Within the Davis Global Center, the iEXCEL program improves human performance and effectiveness in health care through the adoption of high-fidelity simulation, interprofessional collaboration and experiential learning technologies. Emerging technologies including 3D, Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) and holographic imagery compliment clinical simulation environments that replicate the total healthcare system while realistic operating rooms facilitate research and development alongside advanced surgical simulations.

Creighton University CL and Rachel Werner Center for Health Sciences Education

The new CL and Rachel Werner Center for Health Sciences Education at Creighton University is a state-of-the-art facility that enhances the university's commitment to interprofessional health sciences education. The building includes spaces designed for interactive, interdisciplinary learning across various health professions through specialized simulation centers, collaborative classrooms, and areas for both in-person and remote learning. The facility was created to foster collaboration between different healthcare disciplines, promoting a team-based approach that reflects Creighton’s Jesuit values, emphasizing a compassionate, holistic approach to patient care.

 

Terms and conditions

Cancellation requests should be submitted via email to nexusreg@umn.edu.

Cancellations received by Friday, May 2, 2025 will be refunded the conference registration fee, less a $100 administrative fee. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations received after Friday, May 2, 2025.  This can include but is not limited to, failure to attend the conference because of illness, alteration or rescheduling of the Conference by the National Center/AIHC, or due to events beyond the parties’ reasonable control, such as travel problems, natural disaster or weather emergency, civil unrest, epidemic, public health emergency (declared or undeclared), or an act of terrorism. For cancellations received after May 2, 2025 with a balance due, the registration amount remains due in full.

Conference refunds approved by the National Center/AIHC will be issued within 30 business days. All refunds will be issued back to the original payment form.

Reminder: Cancelling your conference registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Attendees are responsible for cancelling their hotel and travel reservations. Please refer to the hotel cancellation and refund policy.

In the unlikely event that this conference is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be fully refunded registration fees. The National Center/AIHC cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change fees assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations. 

Refunds will not be given for no shows.
 

Use of photographic likeness release

Participants of CAB IX authorize the Regents of the University of Minnesota (the “University”) and its agents to record photographs or other portraits or likenesses of them on videotape, audiotape, film, photograph or any other medium and use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and publicly exhibit such recordings, in whole or in part, without restrictions or limitation for any purpose that the University deems appropriate.  Participants further consent to the use of their name, voice and biographical material in connection with such recordings.

Participants release the University, its successors and assigns, agents, and all persons for whom it is acting from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the recording process, or any unintentional misspellings or inaccuracies and waive any right that they may have to inspect or approve the finished recordings.  
 

Health and safety

Regarding communicable health risks, CAB IX will implement health and safety protocols appropriate to the public health circumstances existing at the time of the conference. CAB IX will exercise reasonable efforts to utilize protocols that will comply with or exceed any local public health requirements and be consistent with then-prevailing public health standards as issued by relevant public health entities. Those protocols may include but are not limited to the following requirements: vaccination, self-monitoring, symptom checkers, use of personal protective equipment and social distancing, or other similar measures. Compliance with some or all of the protocols adopted by CAB IX may be mandatory for attendance and participation at the conference. Additional information regarding the specific health and safety measures, and any necessary consents by you, will be communicated to attendees prior to the first day of the conference.
 

Code of conduct

No solicitation is permitted except by exhibitors, within the confinement of their booths. National Center/AIHC reserves the right to escort any individual from the conference who is reported to be soliciting and who is not a conference exhibitor. 

Attendees are expected to behave responsibly and to treat each other and the community with respect, kindness and compassion. Failure to behave in such a manner, as determined in the National Center/AIHC’s sole discretion, may result in removal from the conference and deactivation and/or revocation of credentials, without refund.

CAB IX is a private event, and weapons are strictly prohibited. Attendees are forbidden from carrying weapons of any kind, including concealed or displayed firearms or knives, onto the premises of the conference. The National Center/AIHC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, without refund, to deactivate and/or revoke the credentials of attendees who violate this policy. By registering for the conference, you agree to comply with this policy, regardless of any signage located on the premises of the conference.

For security reasons, badge swapping or sharing of access credentials is not permitted.
