I am a clinician and educator of nurses. My initial work in Child Neurology was focused on children with infectious and immune mediated disorders. I have developed interprofessional programs to build communities of children and families isolated by rare disorders. In these communities of learning, knowledge is co-created by the group. Within our academic medical center, my colleagues and I strive to move away from our separate silos to create spaces for interprofessional collaborative learning environments.

Presenting at CAB 2025:
This presentation will highlight the progressive development of an IPE simulation for social work and PMH nurse practitioner students, leading to better student outcomes. This included strengthening faculty collaboration, incorporating student and faculty feedback to improve the event, and the role of curriculum integration in improving student outcomes.
