My name is Nicole Smith, MSN, RN. I am an undergraduate clinical Instructor with the University of Michigan in the school of nursing. My nursing career consits of experience in long term, sub-acute, acute, and home care, case management, and hospice serving roles outside of direct patient care as a preceptor, director of care delivery, operations manager, case manager, and educator. Throughout these endeavors, I have developed a passion in helping people achieve their optimal health through effective communication and collaboration among health care professionals throughout the whole health care spectrum. This is the driving force within its success. Furthermore, creating a desire to work with nursing students on how to collect and analyze data to understand the population they serve and improve health disparities through community programs.

The Interprofessional Education (IPE) TEAMS Activities, adapted from the University of Toronto, were piloted among undergraduate nursing students during clinical placements. TEAMS 1 focused on understanding interprofessional roles, and TEAMS 2 on analyzing interactions. Findings suggested potential increases in interprofessional socialization and the need for better integration into nursing curriculums.
