She currently serves as Director of Pharmacy Experiential Education and Vice Chair & Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Creighton University. She has spent almost 30 years in practice and academia, with over 20 years in experiential education. She completed her PharmD and Pharmacy Practice Residency at UNMC and practiced at the VA precepting students in ambulatory care the first few years of her career. She oversees experiential, which is 30% of the pharmacy curriculum, and is heavily involved in preparing students for practice by teaching professional development. She published a book on communication, which is important for team-based practice.
