Dr. Lori Rusch is faculty at Creighton University College of Nursing with a clinical background in critical care and emergency nursing. She earned a master’s degree in nursing from Pacific Lutheran University and a PhD from Villanova University with a focus on Nursing Education. She uses high and low fidelity simulation to teach both graduate and undergraduate students. She has been involved in interprofessional education and service-learning throughout her career and currently serves as the Chair of the Paramedicine Department within the College of Nursing.

Interprofessional simulations focused on administering naloxone in emergency situations offer a valuable learning experience for health professional students. These simulations not only fulfill the critical need for naloxone education but also effectively support the development of IPE core competencies such as communication, teamwork and roles and responsibilities.
