Sharmi Amin is a medical student at the University of Michigan. At Duke University, she studied Global Health and Environmental Policy. While in medical school, Sharmi served as a student director of the Student-Run Free Clinic and is a part of the Medical Ethics Path of Excellence. Sharmi is passionate about growing community mentorship programs, facilitating bioethical conversations, and increasing awareness and actions to combat socioeconomic health disparities. Through research, she hopes to investigate pathways for improving surgical outcomes and expanding access to care through interprofessional student-led initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys reading and exploring new twists on classic dishes.

This study examines baseline leadership and conflict styles among health science students, utilizing Path-Goal Theory and TKI frameworks. Findings reveal critical insights into the interplay between leadership and conflict resolution in interprofessional education, informing strategies for developing effective collaborative practices among students in preparation for practicing in healthcare settings.
