Dr. Mark Edwards is a third-year Internal Medicine Physician Resident at the University of Michigan (UMich). Prior to residency, he completed his medical degree with distinction in research from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. In 2025-2026, Dr. Edwards will serve as the Chief Resident in Quality and Safety at the Ann Arbor VA as part of the UMich Internal Medicine Residency Program. His research primarily focuses on cardiology and cardiovascular health. Dr. Edwards has received multiple honors and is an active member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.

This study examines baseline leadership and conflict styles among health science students, utilizing Path-Goal Theory and TKI frameworks. Findings reveal critical insights into the interplay between leadership and conflict resolution in interprofessional education, informing strategies for developing effective collaborative practices among students in preparation for practicing in healthcare settings.
