- Collaborative Leadership and Shared Responsibility in Interprofessional Teams
The SHARP (Stop, Hear, Acknowledge, Respond Problem-Solving) framework began as a profoundly reflective journey. Over time, these reflections evolved into a structured, novel framework, bridging personal growth and systemic transformation. Self-Determination Theory, Relational Coordination, and Psychological Safety inform the framework. Aligned with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, SHARP transcends its origins, offering actionable insights into interprofessional collaboration and equity. This presentation shares how SHARP addresses the disruptors of collaboration, particularly incivility, by motivating teams through autonomy, competence, and relatedness.Rationale: SHARP originated as a personal coping mechanism to a robust, data-driven framework for improving healthcare teamwork and outcomes. This presentation will inspire audiences to recognize how personal experience and reflection can fuel systemic change and innovation.Impact: SHARP is a model that integrates self-actualization with systems thinking to foster collaboration, resilience, and equity in healthcare. The audience will leave understanding SHARP as both a personal and professional tool. Through the lens of SHARP, attendees will see how personal insights can evolve into frameworks with far-reaching impacts.Relationship to the conference theme: This proposal aligns with "Innovative Approaches to Interprofessional Pedagogy and Education Science" and "Collaborative Leadership and Shared Responsibility in Interprofessional Teams" by presenting SHARP as a novel framework born from lived experience, offering new ways to understand and address incivility and systemic barriers in healthcare
