Dr. Amanda C. Wise worked in outpatient, mental health, pediatric, community, and administrative occupational therapy positions before entering higher education. Her research and scholarship interests include wholistic health and wellbeing, community-based services, and preventive care. Optimizing others' wellbeing and daily engagement by walking alongside them and meeting them where they are her calling. Her passion is empowering students with the knowledge and resources needed to achieve their vocation goals, becoming compassionate, life-long learners. She strives to support her community and the healthcare commmunity through scholarship, service, and advocacy.
Presenting at CAB 2025:
Finding unconventional ways to address clinical challenges faced in settings primarily occupied by learners can be challenging. This lecture aims to demonstrate how simulation-based learning in an interprofessional setting can effectively tackle clinical challenges head on.
