Dr. Wellins earned a DNP from Stony Brook University and a MEd from Columbia University. She is Director for the Masters’ in Education Program at Stony Brook School of Nursing. Her clinical interest is tick borne diseases and she serves a member of Stony Brook Southampton's East End Tick Advisory Council. She was instrumental in establishing the first Regional Tick Disease Clinic in the Northeast. Dr. Wellins is currently PI for Eastern Long Island study on Lyme disease. Dr. Wellins is also a primary care Nurse Practitioner in Sag Harbor, NY and a medical staff member at Rockefeller University.
