Dr.CindyQuinton MHSc, MD, FRCPC, of Trillium Health Partners, completed her Masters' degree in Speech-Language Pathologist before training as a Medical Doctor at McMaster University. She completed her fellowship in General Internal Medicine, then worked as an associate in Oncology Clinics at Sunnybrook Odette before gaining a re-entry award to complete a residency in Medical Oncology. During her tenure as Systemic Lead for Medical Oncology at Trillium Health Partners, she graduated from both the Schulich Physician Leadership Development Program and the University of Toronto Master Teacher Program. She currently treats patients with Breast and GI malignancies while working on Masters level research in the evaluation and development of empathic communication in medical trainees

This retrospective review paper examines learners' perceptions of virtual vs. in-person Interprofessional Education (IPE) electives at Trillium Health Partners, exploring their impact on developing interprofessional competencies. Using both quantitative and qualitative data, findings suggest virtual sessions offer flexibility, while in-person sessions are valued for interactivity and engagement, warranting further exploration.
