Elshimaa Basha is a Senior Instructor at the University of Colorado. She also serves as the Director of Simulation and Assessments where she is responsible for evaluation and curriculum innovation. She serves on several committees across the Anschutz Medical Campus and advises on evaluation, standardized patient training, and case development. She received her Masters in Public Health with a focus on health disparities from Creighton University School of Medicine. She is currently completing a community and behavioral health dissertation through the Colorado School of Public health. She is committed to health equity education and evaluation for all learners and communities.

The impact of these trainings includes improved knowledge, clinical skill acquisition, and appreciation of interprofessional collaboration as a means of addressing key ethics and health equity challenges of the opioid epidemic.
