Hayley Giordano is a medical student at UNC School of Medicine, having completed her studies in Biology, Ethics, and Law at NC State University. She is passionate about partnering with colleagues and patients to achieve optimal health outcomes, particularly in underserved communities. Hayley is deeply committed to addressing health disparities and is interested in the intersection of medicine and law, focusing on health equity. As a Kenan Rural Scholar, she looks forward to serving rural populations in North Carolina and contributing to efforts that reduce health inequalities.

This study analyzes interprofessional team interactions in postpartum inpatient settings, focusing on communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals. By examining recorded interactions, the research aims to identify key moments of teamwork, inform care coordination strategies, and improve interprofessional practices to enhance family-focused postnatal services and outcomes.
