Dr. Trujillo is Associate Dean for Education and Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy. A clinical pharmacist and member of the interprofessional team at the CU Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic, she specializes in diabetes pharmacotherapy and advanced management. Board-certified in pharmacotherapy, she is also an advanced diabetes manager and certified diabetes care specialist. With 70+ peer-reviewed publications, her work spans diabetes care, instructional design, and assessment. An associate editor for Diabetes Spectrum and editorial board member for Pharmacotherapy, she actively contributes to several professional organizations including AACP, ACCP, APhA, and ADA.

This presentation describes an innovative and replicable opportunity to incorporate naloxone training into interprofessional education curricula. The impact of these trainings includes improved knowledge, clinical skill acquisition, and appreciation of interprofessional collaboration as a means of addressing key ethics and health equity challenges of the opioid epidemic.
