Dr. Kelli Star Fox earned a DSW from Millersville University, MSW from University of New England and BA from Rutgers University. Kelli is the Director of the Center for Interprofessional Innovation and holds an appolintment as Assoc Clinical Professor in the School of Social Welfare at SUNY Stony Brook. Her research interests include best practices for preparing learners to engage in IPE and collaborative practice, as well as exploring the role IPE and faculty modeling play in students' development of dual professional and IP identities. In addition, Kelli is an adjunct professor of social work for Yeshiva University and has a small business providing professional consultation and workforce development training.

Presenting at CAB 2025:

This oral presentation provides an overview of a uni-professional preparation to enhance healthcare students’ preparedness for IPE. Faculty from nursing and social welfare will share their perspectives on the impact the workshop had on their students.
This presentation will highlight the progressive development of an IPE simulation for social work and PMH nurse practitioner students, leading to better student outcomes. This included strengthening faculty collaboration, incorporating student and faculty feedback to improve the event, and the role of curriculum integration in improving student outcomes.
