Kimberly I. Tumlin, PhD, MS, MPH works across human, food, and animal health systems. By evaluating how incorporation of animals into systems of care impacts individual, community, and organizational health outcomes, Dr. Tumlin’s work advances the science of asset-based resilience. She has over 15 years of collegiate and experiential education, with demonstrated innovation in transformative learning and healing across specialized populations.

Equine-assisted Services (EAS) have been utilized as an approach in healthcare and learning; however, its utility has not been investigated in the context of interprofessional team leadership development (ITLD). This pilot demonstrates the utility of learning with horses as an EAS method to foster development of key interprofessional leadership components.
