Presenting at CAB 2025:
This presentation reports the findings of a literature review to understand the landscape of debriefing among pre-licensure healthcare students after interprofessional experiential activities (IPEAs). Given the gaps uncovered, the U-M Center for Interprofessional Education shares how they developed the TEAMS REFLECT Tool to facilitate interprofessional debriefing among students after IPEAs.
The Interprofessional Education (IPE) TEAMS Activities, adapted from the University of Toronto, were piloted among undergraduate nursing students during clinical placements. TEAMS 1 focused on understanding interprofessional roles, and TEAMS 2 on analyzing interactions. Findings suggested potential increases in interprofessional socialization and the need for better integration into nursing curriculums.
