Lucas Thao is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He completed a six-week elective rotation in Interprofessional Education under the guidance of Drs. Barnett and Gallimore. Throughout this experience, he collaborated with healthcare professionals and students from various disciplines to enhance teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care. This rotation allowed Lucas to develop a deeper understanding of interprofessional collaboration, fostering skills essential for optimizing patient outcomes. His role involved engaging in case-based discussions, facilitating interprofessional learning activities, and contributing to curriculum development. This experience reinforced his passion for education, leadership, and advancing pharmacy practice through interdisciplinary teamwork.

Presenting at CAB 2025:

This poster presentation describes themes identified from a student reflective writing assignment developed to assess interprofessional reactions and knowledge after completion of the first-year of a Doctor of Pharmacy program including three required IPE activities. Identified themes will be used to evaluate completed IPE activities and to modify/develop future activities.
