Michelle Pardee is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Michigan School of Nursing. She actively participates in the leadership of the Center for IPE at the University of Michigan as the co-lead for the Experiential Innovation work-grShe also serves on the curriculum committee. She is the first lead for IPE at the School of Nursing and works with faculty to increase IPE across all nursing programs. Michelle currently works with an underserved community to increase access to healthcare, health education and health and wellbeing activities.
Presenting at CAB 2025:
The Interprofessional Education (IPE) TEAMS Activities, adapted from the University of Toronto, were piloted among undergraduate nursing students during clinical placements. TEAMS 1 focused on understanding interprofessional roles, and TEAMS 2 on analyzing interactions. Findings suggested potential increases in interprofessional socialization and the need for better integration into nursing curriculums.
Explore practical strategies for building sustainable community health partnerships using the University of Michigan's Interprofessional Toolkit. Participants will be guided in planning, implementing, and evaluating community partnerships and educational experiences through site selection, needs assessments, and action plan development, fostering deeper community engagement while enhancing health profession learners’ outcomes.
