Molly Goessling, PharmD, BCGP, is an assistant professor and director of the Center for Medication Therapy Management at Creighton University, School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. She is a co-facilitator of the interprofessional fall risk experience among Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Pharmacy students, working with students to assess medications, educate residents, and make recommendations to help achieve optimal health outcomes and minimize the risk of falls.
Presenting at CAB 2025:
This presentation discusses how health professions students assessed fall risk among older adults in assisted living facilities. Interprofessional student teams developed care plans with the aim of enhancing patient safety. The initiative improved student competencies, fostered collaboration, and provided actionable recommendations to mitigate fall risk, benefiting both students and residents.
