Nicole Nielsen, PharmD, BCACP, APh, MEHP is an Assistant Professor at Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. She received her PharmD from Lipscomb University. She completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency. She is a clinical pharmacist at CHI Health University Clinic focusing on chronic disease management in dyslipidemia, hypertension, and diabetes. Dr. Nielsen is extensively involved in professional pharmacy organizations and is passionate about pharmacy education, and training the next generation of pharmacists. Her research interests include improving student teaching and learning outcomes, advancing the pharmacy profession, and improving patient outcomes.

Presenting at CAB 2025:

This study examines the implementation and assessment of synchronous online interprofessional education (IPE) activities, comparing them with in-person sessions. Results showed equivalent confidence and teamwork outcomes, demonstrating the feasibility of online IPE. The presentation will offer insights into designing effective virtual IPE, assessing outcomes, and addressing challenges in healthcare education.
