Dr. Russell J. Buzalko is associated with Children's Nebraska, earned a doctorate of philosophy (PhD) in education in 2013, holds a Master of Aeronautical Science (MAS) degree, and received a bachelor of science (BS) degree in Information Systems Management.
His doctoral studies focused on interprofessional team-based performance improvement in a level-1 trauma center. His teaching experience crosses multiple higher education facilities and the United States Air Force. He currently holds an Advanced Master Trainer certification in TeamSTEPPS and continues to teach team-based performance improvement to hopefully reduce human errors and decrease team stressors.
Presenting at CAB 2025:
Children’s Nebraska built on its relationship with an academic institution to expand the breadth and depth of available knowledge-based resources. Interprofessional clinical staff now have access to current, scholarly biomedical content plus the expert assistance of a medical librarian. This new arrangement fully supports the missions of the institution.
