Dr. Sarah Ball, Ph.D, RN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, CHSE, is an Assistant Professor and Faculty Chair of the traditional Undergrate program with the College of Nursing and Creighton University. With a focus on innovative technology interventions, Dr. Ball’s research is dedicated to advancing education with the assessments and evaluations of Nursing and the Interprofessional healthcare team. She is a co-facilitator of the interprofessional fall risk experience among Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Pharmacy students.
Dr. Ball’s expertise and innovative approach to nursing education continue to shape the future of healthcare training, blending the latest advancements in technology and interprofessional edcation with practical applications to better prepare healthcare students for success in the clinical environment.
Presenting at CAB 2025:
This presentation discusses how health professions students assessed fall risk among older adults in assisted living facilities. Interprofessional student teams developed care plans with the aim of enhancing patient safety. The initiative improved student competencies, fostered collaboration, and provided actionable recommendations to mitigate fall risk, benefiting both students and residents.
