Terry Eggenberger, is the Executive Director of Interprofessional Education and Practice, Office of the Provost at Florida Atlantic University, Professor in the College of Nursing and Clinical Associate Affiliate in the College of Medicine. She has been leading interprofessional (IP) education and practice since 2008.
A Macy’s Presidential Grant (2015) supported Dr. Eggenberger and associates to strengthen IP relationships and communication in acute care, working with a new physician residency program in Internal Medicine; nursing, pharmacy, and social work, hardwiring TeamSTEPPS at the point of care. More recently she led initiatives to address the needs of medically underserved, ethnically diverse, vulnerable populations requiring diabetes and mental health telehealth services in South Florida through a NEPQR HRSA grant. She has published on IP initiatives, and presented nationally and internationally on team science and communication.
Presenting at CAB 2025:
Participants will gain insights on how older adult mentors can be facilitators of interprofessional learning, and the vital roles health professions students play when collaborating for healthy aging using the geriatric 5Ms framework. Participants will go through activities and polling to develop strategies that can be used at their institution.
