Dr. Czyz is an assistant professor in Microbiology & Cell Science at the University of Florida. His research focuses on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and protein conformational diseases (PCDs). The Czyz Research Group explores these areas and additional non-traditional approaches to battle AMR. Dr. Czyz teaches two courses on AMR. He is also actively involved in fighting AMR outside of his laboratory. He served as the Chair of the Advisory Council at the National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (NIAMRRE).

Presenting at CAB 2025:

Interprofessional collaboration between human, animal, plant, and environmental health is needed to best address antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and its stewardship. We presented a six session AMR interprofessional education extra-curricular activity to promote interprofessional learning for health professions and graduate studies students in this important topic.
