Jenny Tilleman graduated from Viterbo University in 1998 with a B.S. in Chemistry and Creighton University in 2002 with a Doctor of Pharmacy. She completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at the Creighton University Medical Center. In December 2003, she received an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Creighton University and was promoted to Associate Professor in March 2017. Within the Pharmacy program, Jenny teaches the Immunization course, Pharmacotherapeutics III Case Studies, Ethics, assists with the Dispensing and Patient Care series, and assists distance students with their Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience visits.

In the work setting, health care professionals’ appearance has traditionally been conservative, but recently conservative appearance has been tested by the desire for personal expression. Student perceptions regarding what is considered professional vary and first impressions of the healthcare team and patients may be impacted.
This pilot study involved health profession students delivering opioid education and naloxone training to their peers and to undergraduate resident advisors, leading to increased knowledge, reduced stigma, and enhanced advocacy. The program's success highlights a scalable model for expanding community efforts to address the opioid crisis.
