Dr. Jessica Rydingsward is an assistant professor of physical therapy at MCPHS in Worcester, Massachusetts. She earned a biology degree from Bowdoin College and a DPT from MGH Institute of Health Professions. A clinician with 12 years’ experience, she is a Board-Certified Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy and Geriatric Physical Therapy. At Brigham and Women’s Hospital, she specialized in medically complex patients and co-developed a discharge prediction tool for cardiac surgery, published in Annals of Thoracic Surgery. At MCPHS since 2022, she teaches geriatric and cardiopulmonary patient management, with research focusing on clinical reasoning and mentoring in acute care.

Presenting at CAB 2025:

This IPE/IPC event aimed to raise falls awareness among underserved older adults, enhance student collaboration, and strengthen university-community ties. Twenty-five senior center participants attended a falls prevention presentation by healthcare students, followed by lunch. Feedback showed high satisfaction and increased knowledge, highlighting the value of IPE/IPC in public health.
