Rachel Weldrick, PhD is a social gerontologist and mixed-methodologist at McMaster University in the Department of Health, Aging & Society. Weldrick studies housing, homelessness, social in/exclusion, and ageism using a variety of methods. She also prioritizes participatory and community-based methods and engages in creative knowledge translation practices. Weldrick's most recent work examines rental housing for older persons who live alone, and the ways in which housing models can support older persons with experiences of homelessness.
Presenting at CAB 2025:
This research sought to define the current state of IPE in Canada and in what ways are perspectives from the social sciences and humanities integrated therein. We will share models of innovative IPE and opportunities for improved collaboration between higher education and healthcare sectors.
