Shaterra Blocker is the Assistant Director for the USF Health Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice (OIPEP), where she leads initiatives to create meaningful interprofessional learning opportunities that connect education and practice. She collaborates with faculty and staff to design programs that enhance teamwork and communication across healthcare disciplines, overseeing the development of faculty and student programming, interprofessional simulation cases, and strategic partnerships to advance IPE at USF Health. Prior to her role in IPEP, Shaterra spent over a decade in Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), serving as the Senior Administrator in academic support, career advising, and student affairs. Her experience in student success and program development informs her approach to fostering interprofessional collaboration that prepares learners for effective teamwork and patient-centered care. A proud USF alumna, Shaterra holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Social Science, graduate certificates in Health and Wellness Coaching and Project Management, and an M.S. in Management.

Presenting at CAB 2025:

Participants will learn how to develop an IPE Day in their own home institution. We will cover the successes and the learning opportunities we have seen through an interactive electronic deliverable that can be started on site, so as to return with a working document.
