This interactive session will explore one institution’s innovative interprofessional simulation series focusing on continuity of care and interprofessional education. The session will give attendees an opportunity to learn about this six-semester initiative that allows pharmacy students to follow the same patient for three years while interacting with other healthcare professional students to mimic real-life scenarios. Attendees will spend time brainstorming the transferability of this activity to their institution to create longitudinal interprofessional experiences for learners.

Leveraging AI analysis, the literature, and collaborative input, we refined foundational principles and measurable behaviors. We share insights from the creation and implementation of this framework.

Examples from interprofessional simulations will enable participants to brainstorm ways they can apply the FLM’s five dimensions of flexibility to develop a plan for improving sustainability within their own programs.

Finding a balance between standardization and individualization is critical to meeting the unique needs of both patients and trainees. Central to this approach is the involvement of patients, families, trainees, and other interprofessional team members as co-creators in the design, delivery, and evaluation of training interventions. This mini-workshop session will illustrate and provide interactive opportunities for attendees to identify methods for engaging diverse participants in the co-creation process during clinical research projects.

This interactive workshop introduces how an IPE Center team and Area Health Education Centers’ (AHEC) directors led efforts to deliver Breaking the Cycle of Addiction: A Collaborative Recovery Experience where learners, local agency representatives, and community partners interacted to learn “about, from, and with” each other. Attendees will leave the workshop with a draft plan to create a program related to a public health concern or curricular gap topic.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital embarked on a review of the Collaborative Practice & Clinical Education Model that has been in place for over 15 years. Through targeted focus groups, environmental scan, and literature review, four themes and recommendations for model optimization were found.
